Dog Breeds

Footage with sure breeds of canines might draw your consideration to courting apps

It’s no secret that posing with your furry friend for your dating app pics will grab you more attention than others. Not only does this make you seem more personable right away, but it also makes things easier for the other person by giving them the golden opportunity to use endless opening lines for dogs. Animal pictures (with you in them – which is surprisingly not obvious to everyone) on dating apps is the real deal, so people often use pictures with dogs that don’t even belong to them. And this deceptive tactic doesn’t ultimately affect anyone.

It turns out that having a dog of your own isn’t enough to improve your chances of getting these apps. You also need to have the right type of dog. A new study found that certain breeds of dogs arouse more romantic interest than others.

In the correlation study by the UK-based doggy-friendly vacation company Canine Cottages, researchers created fake dating app profiles using pictures of people with different breeds of dogs and observed the number of likes and swipes they each received. They noticed a pattern among these and saw that certain races worked better than others.

While men prefer women with Staffordshire Bull Terriers, women are likely to opt for men who pose with Jack Russells. If they weren’t a staffie, men would also be interested in Chihuahuas and mixed breeds. Women would be inclined to Labradors or Cockapoos.

“Adding a photo of a dog can be a great idea if you want to be successful in dating. It provides an instant ice breaker and makes it easier for someone to start a conversation, “dating expert James Preece told The Daily Mail.” It also shows that they are active and friendly. If the dog loves you, so will other people. “

The study was conducted exclusively between heterosexual couples in the UK. While the correlation could be strong, dog breed preferences likely vary geographically. Given the main role pets play in queer dating, these findings could be across the board.

At the end of the day, whether or not your phone explodes with matches and super-likes, you’ll have a loyal friend by your side. And isn’t friendship the only thing that really matters?
